Blackstaff Kittens

EXCITING NEWS! We have baby rats! Thanks to some very kind breeder friends, our lines were kept intact while we took a hiatus from breeding rats, and the first Blackstaff litter in seven years has been born. Both parents are friendly and healthy and the babies are simply delightful. As you can imagine, we'll be keeping a few ourselves, but there will be up to two pairs of lovely kittens going to lucky new homes in the next month. If you're interested - particularly if you've had our lovely rats before - then please phone 020 8850 4775. We do thoroughly vet all new homes.

Photos coming soon.

From birth rats are social animals -- they love to play together, groom each other and snuggle up. In the early weeks they are socialised by their mother, their siblings and their human carers. A well-socialised pet rat will be as comfortable with people as he will be with other rats; however he will always need other rats for company which is why pet rats are best kept in same-sex pairs or trios.

After a long day romping around and playing with their mum and with human visitors, the kittens cuddle up for a well-deserved rest...
